Post 8 is a small community post that is located in the Nation’s Capital. Post 8 members are very active in their community, fundraise for and volunteer at many veteran-support organizations. Veterans that are seeking assistance should contact the appropriate veteran-services organization. A good place to begin is the national website for The American Legion at http://www.legion.org/.
Veterans with inquiries about their benefits can contact The American Legion at (202) 530-9143 or Post 8 member volunteer at email@example.com. Post 8′s Homeless Veteran Coordinator is Phil Yunger (202) 445-9024. The VA Homelss Hotline is 1 (877) 424-3838, and the VA Suicide Hotline is 1 (800) 273-8255.
