Post 8 operates a small lounge for members and their guests. The Bar Manager on duty will ask to see membership cards. We welcome guests and members from other posts. All guests and members from other posts must sign in. Active duty service members are welcome and typically signed in by one of any of the members in the lounge.
Members and their guests can watch sports on any of the three flat screen TVs in the lounge or programs and movies on the two TVs in the adjoining pool room and kitchen area. Members also play video games, darts, shoot pool, and music on the internet jukebox. Members also will gather for and prepare light meals in the kitchen (must clean up after themselves) or call out for delivery from any of the numerous restaurants in the area.
The lounge opens at 3:00PM Mondays through Fridays and at 11:00AM on weekends and holidays. The Lounge rarely closes before 1:00AM and usually will stay open until 2:00AM on weekdays and 2:30 or 3:00AM on weekends, depending on business. If you plan to arrive after 1:00AM, please give us a call first (202) 543-9163 to find out when the Bar Manager on duty has given last call.
